WAVES CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
1. All reasonable steps are taken to ensure that unsuitable people are prevented from working with children at Waves.
2. All our staff who are involved in the care of children do know what to do if there are concerns about abuse.
3. If abuse is suspected the correct procedure will be implemented and fully recorded.
4. Waves adhere to the Amateur Swimming Association Wavepower document May 2009
5. No photographs, video cameras or mobile phones to be used on
pool side or in the changing rooms.
6. All children without exception must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
7. Boys and girls changing rooms: Any male/female over the age of 8 years must only use the correct changing rooms, this includes adults. Younger girls/boys changing in the opposite sex changing rooms is at the discretion of the responsible adult.
8. If a child needs the toilet it is the responsibility of the adult to take control of the situation.
