RULES OF THE COMPETITION:
1. Ages as at 31st December.
2. All competitors must be amateur as defined by ASA law and be a bona fide member of a swimming club – if not you will be made a member of CASC category D.
3. All competitors will have their number written on their arm/hand and will wear numbered hats supplied by CASC.
4. In the event of postponement due to inclement weather an alternative date will be as stated or advised:
SATURDAY 11TH AUGUST – 13.30PM START
REGISTRATION 11.00-12.45PM
BRIEFING 13.15PM
5. Only competitors who have been members of the Clevedon Amateur Swimming Club for a minimum of 6 months prior to the competition will be eligible to receive a perpetual or placed trophies – with the exception;
6. If a male or female guest swimmer wins the open men or ladies event they will
receive a guest trophy also men & ladies wearing wet suits 1st places will also receive a trophy.
7. All competitors who completes the course will receive a certificate – presentations will take place after the race in the Clevedon Sailing Club, where changing facilities are available; hot/cold drinks for swimmers provided free of charge.
8. Photography/video as explained on the entry form.
SAFETY: Competitors must attend the registration and briefing – caution to be taken when walking to Ladye Bay especially going down the steps. A full briefing including safety will be given (as stated above) which must be adhered to. Canoes and boats will accompany the swimmers for safety cover.

Photographs/videos may be taken at the Clevedon Long Swim by local press and other participants / supporters.
The event organisers for publicity material such as press releases, TV, media and promotional displays may use these photographs. I hereby grant Clevedon Long swim organisers the absolute right to use images resulting from photography/video at the event. This includes any reproductions or adaptions of the images for all general publicity purposes.
